This year’s Tailgate for Alzheimer’s Tennessee will be bigger than ever before! Alzheimer’s Tennessee is on board and the excitement is building up to the fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research. It will be held at Roger’s (8817 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN) on Friday September 8, 2023 (night before the first home football game) from 5pm to 10pm. Rick Russo and the WVLT television crew will be on hand for a live broadcast at 5pm. Music from 5pm to 6pm will be Nashville Singer/Songwriter Josh Hughett….along with Vocalist/Violinist Julia DiGrazia…also from Nashville. My band (Dave Landeo Band) will perform the rest of the evening and throughout the live auction.
This event is special because it marks the 10th anniversary from the very first Tailgate of Alzheimer’s (which took place at Mulligan’s in Knoxville, TN…with the help of our lost friend Don Anderson). The event has grown every year…and last year was our biggest to date…raising over $11,000 for the cause. With the hard work of Anthony “Tone” Lewis and Jabari Davis (Vol for Lifer) we had the greatest variety of UT auction items that we’ve ever had. Mary Lynn Payne (Marketing Director at ALZ TN) has been working months along with the crew to put on what will be an amazing event.
